Welcome Back

Welcome back to Surpass Your Goal.  You didn’t go anywhere . . . I did!  You may have noticed that it’s been two years since I’ve sent out an article or update.  Why, you ask?  I returned to school to complete my doctorate in human .  I have just one class remaining, on addictions, that will end next month, but that is only step one of the process.  The next step will be to take my comprehensive exams, followed by the completion of my dissertation.  This will likely take one more year, but at least I won’t be tied up with the constant assignments and papers required with the coursework.

But enough about me; what does this mean for you? I’m so glad you asked.  I’ve been studying so much about human behavior that my brain is going to explode if I don’t start sharing the information.  Courses on resiliency, leadership, aging, family dynamics, and more have supplied an unbelievable amount of support for my coaching clients.  This means that I’m able utilize tools and techniques that are cutting edge, best practices, and integrated across disciplines.  Another plus is my focus on child and adolescent development.  This is actually the reason I returned to school, to create programs to enhance and boost teen resiliency.  These programs will focus on self-esteem, coping skills/stress management, communication skills, social skills, and emotional regulation — you know, all those things that go haywire when teenage hormones kick in!

As a result, Surpass Your Goal is expanding to include teen coaching.  Of course, the best connection tool is online coaching, a new platform that is amazing for engagement, motivation, and accountability.  The worksheets I’ve developed over the past decade will offer a vast collection of resources.  This is all brand-new and not yet fully launched, so stay tuned.  In the meantime: Welcome Back!
