Coming Back from the Back Burner

Work-Life Balance

Do you know what happens when you put yourself on the back burner? You burn! If you’re burned out from taking care of everyone and everything else, now is the time to invest in yourself.

I was so used to accommodating everyone else’s needs that I totally lost myself. Then I tried to set boundaries with others and was stunned that I kept agreeing to do things for others, purely out of habit! I had no control of my own time management. I actually had to make an appointment with myself (every Tuesday at 8:30 a.m.) for almost a year to establish new boundaries. During this time, I would often argue with myself until I realized I could make myself a priority.

When you take the time to focus on yourself, you can:

  • Be your best
  • Embrace your essence
  • Disengage from drama
  • Eliminate your inner critic
  • Sharpen your focus
  • Transform stress to grace

When you continually respond to “How are you?” with “I’m crazy busy,” or “There’s never enough time in the day,” you know you need to make yourself a priority. Even if you feel that you have good time management with work or other life tasks, you need time management for you time.

The Downside to Being an Overachiever

As overachievers, we often strive to tackle all things. We try to balance our family life, work obligations, and personal care. All too often our overachiever selves try to show our family and work that we can do it all, which leads to neglecting personal care. When you make yourself a priority, the result is more time to structure and organize, so you’re more effective. You’ll find you feel better about your accomplishments and have more energy!

An insightful coach works with you to achieve this shift which helps you reap the benefits through a keen understanding of human motivation and change and helps you with time management. You’ll have your own motivator, a strategist, and an accountability partner to bring these changes to life.

Find fulfillment and boost your brilliance in three easy steps:

  1. Insight
  2. Inspiration
  3. Implementation

One of my recent clients, Paula, put it this way, “When you know why you’re here, everything else becomes very clear—direction, focus, where you put your energy—all of it. That’s part of the magic of working with Robin—she can help you see that and embrace it. She is amazing to work with.”

If you are ready to find balance in your life, work on time management, and get yourself off the back burner, fill out my contact form. Together we’ll work to achieve balance in all areas of your life.
